I'm under the impression that this book will not be as good as the other ones. I'm scared that it won't meet my expectations. I don't want that to happen. A synopsis was released by a divergent fansite which they took from some photo of the printing process of the book jackets.
I'm scared as fuck. I don't want to be. I want to think that this book will be great but I have never read a book which was told from two POVs except for Will Grayson, will grayson, and I'm scared because this is a whole different genre, and it might turn out rubbish. I'm terrified to read it. I must remind myself why I loved Divergent and Insurgent so much. I need to reread them. I have to. I just can't think like this. I can't think that the next book will be rubbish. I don't want to be pulled a Mocking Jay. I told myself that if I ever write a book I will take as much time as possible to write a good and admirable ending. I hope that Allegiant will live up to my expectations and that it will be good. I will surely pre-order it because I really want it.
If you want to read the synopsis, you can go here. If you want to pre-order Allegiant and The World of Divergent: The Path to Allegiant (which is free) you can go here and here.

E.

Destroy Me by Tahereh Mafi - the review
I just finished Destroy me by Tahereh Mafi and I have to write a review on it right now because my brain will forget everything that I want to say about this book. As always. But to prevent this, I made notes on my iPod regarding this book and now I can write about what I thought about the book.
We left Shatter Me with Juliette in the Omega Point, where there are other people like her. Not people who can kill you with one single tough of the hand, but with superpowers. On the other hand, Warner, who is the "ruthless leader of Sector 45", who recently got shot in the arm by Julitte, is trying to survive the shot.
Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow.
My first thoughts after starting this book were that the writing could've been done better. I understand that it's a novella and it should be like this, but I probably just expected more.
After like 20 pages it all got better because I got used to Warner's voice. I also thought that Warner's father is an asshole. He's a cruel sanavabyatch. He reminds me of someone which I will not talk about (not my dad. My dad is awesome.).
Warner seems a bit obsessed with Juliette and very jealous of her power. But not in the bad kind. He doesn't want to have her power to exactly kill people. He loves Julette or the idea of her. He sounds somehow kinky about the way he loves her, because there are some parts of the book in which he has dreams about her and in one of them he seems just driven to get her, to put it like this.
We find out in the novella that Juliette misjudged Warner and that he's an adorable little shit! He doesn't want the bad of people. There's a part in Shatter me in which he kills a dude in his army called Seamus Fletcher and no one had any idea why. In this novella we find out that he killed him because he was beating his wife and kids constantly and spending their money on food or alcohol only for him, so Warner killed him, but his father killed the wife and kids of Seamus Fletcher because of what Seamus did. Warner didn't actually like that and he was annoyed by that but he can't do anything about his father cuz he's jackass.
At the end he was playing with a dog! HE WAS PLAYING WITH A DOG!! He went to the area where Juliette, Adam and Kishimoto disappeared to look around. And a very skinny dog came to him lolling and Warner took it in his arms and gave him something to eat and THAT WAS SO FUCKING CUTE! After that he took the dog into an empty house so he isn't seen by any people, let alone his father, and that was cute as hell! He also has some pride issues. He doesn't want anyone to find out about the dog, nor does he want to be heard that he's actually in love with Juliette. I thought that was a bit prude because if he weren't like this he could've stood up for a lot of things, like the safety of the people. But it's also the fact that his father would've destroyed everything that he wanted to save, like, if he found out that he loves Juliette, he would've killed her immediately.
I loved this book. I loved the fact that it was told from Warner's perspective and that it was an insight in what Warner really is. It's really a good book. I hated the fact that it ended SO abruptly! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT! That's the main reason this got 4.5 stars (it's actually 4.5). This novella should've been written better and to be written more in it because there are important stuff in this book!I have not read the next book yet, but I will! I cannot wait to jump into the next book because I've heard it's awesome and way better than this.
This is probably my longest review yet, and the review I'm most proud of. I cannot wait to write more reviews on books I read because I kinda like writing these reviews, even if my last 3 reviews were horrible and that will never happen again.
Goodbye,
E.

3 in 1 2.0
3 in 1 is back! This time with three reviews, in the same format, for three different books! Obviously! Why would I write three reviews on books I have already reviewed?!
To the reviews!
This book is basically set in a world where love is seen as a disease and is treated like one. At the age of 16 they get cured from deliria, the love disease.
I began reading this quite a long ago and I did enjoy it but then Alex got in the story and all got a tiny bit annoying. And then I gave it to my best friend before finishing it and then I got it back and I finished it. I was quite pleased with the ending! Will continue the series!
I would love to continue on with the series and I will as soon as I can put my hands on the other two books!
Also, a song that could go perfectly with this book is Heart Attack by Demi Lovato.
This is an introduction to the Sherlock Holmes world. This is the book in which Dr. John Watson first meets the young and brilliant Sherlock Holmes.
I read this a few months ago just out of sheer curiosity, and, boy, wasn't it worth it!
In comparison with the BBC series, Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock seems a lot dumber than the Sherlock from this book. There are a slight few changes, so the episode can be more modern, but the series is very true to the book.
I have written these in the course of 3 days because of procrastination and th unableness of my thoughts not constellating.
Goodbye,
E.

| Title: Delirium Author: Lauren Oliver Country: United States Language: English Genre: Young Adult, Romance, dystopian Publication date: January 1, 2011 Pages: 383 Rating: ★★★★☆ |
Ninety-five days, and then I'll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It's hard to be patient. It's hard not to be afraid while I'm still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn't touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't.
I began reading this quite a long ago and I did enjoy it but then Alex got in the story and all got a tiny bit annoying. And then I gave it to my best friend before finishing it and then I got it back and I finished it. I was quite pleased with the ending! Will continue the series!
Characters:
Lena was a nice character. She wasn't an idiot. I could find myself in her in a lot of situations. I quite liked her. She sometimes seemed like a whinny bitch, but I can cope with that. I loved that she really cared about her little cousin, Grace, and I basically started tearing up when Grace finally spoke. Alex was really awesome. I liked him. But I didn't like the fact that it felt a bit like an insta-love happened. He was a believable character, somewhat predictable, the fact that he was an Invalid was a bit predictable. But that might just be me.
Plot:
The book began with Lena waking up to the smell of oranges. She had to help Grace, her cousin, to peel it. From there, it all just started flowing! I loved the way the book was written. It didn't seem too rushed and I was quite satisfied with the ending. I kept thinking, how the fuck will she get out of this one?! HOW! Because it just seemed impossible for her to get out of this one! I still really want to know what happens to Grace. It's really good because it makes you want to know what happens to the characters.I would love to continue on with the series and I will as soon as I can put my hands on the other two books!
Also, a song that could go perfectly with this book is Heart Attack by Demi Lovato.
| Author: Ashley Edward Miller & Zack Stentz Country: United States Language: English Genre: Young Adult (?) Publication date: November 1, 2012 Pages: 256 Rating: ★★★★★ |
If you like The Big Bang Theory or Sherlock Holmes, you will love this teen rendition of Sherlock Holmes combined with the unconsciousness of Sheldon Cooper. Mostly because Colin is a 14 years old boy with the Asperger's syndrome. One day, a gunshot goes off in the school cafeteria and whilst everyone is running everywhere, trying to get out of the cafeteria, Colin is intrigued by this gunshot and he is starting to investigate the scene of the crime. Or something like that.
The plot is really well made and written and I really liked the occasional informative little notes at the bottom of the pages. It was really nice to see how this book goes and I really liked the pacing and the way the story went (I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive. I can't fathom my thoughts into constellations) .
Also, this happened:
I THINK I MADE A NEW FRIEND! I cannot wait for the sequel!
Characters:
Colin is one of the best characters I've ever read about. He is so complex and wonderful! I love the fact that even if he has Asperger's he doesn't get insulted when people pick on him at school because of this. He is a really smart person and he likes and is very good at math. I love math! It's brilliant. I was rubbish at it in middle school. Really good at it in high school! There is also this lovely character called Mellisa. She is the main love interest. She is so lovely! She does not judge Colin and she is so nice with him! Colin is so awkward around her! I still love them both. There still is Wayne, who is his bully but after the gunshot incident they become friends after Colin told him that he's sure he's not guilty. It's heart warming to see this kind of things happening in books!
Plot:
This book is not written in Colin's exact point of view. By this I mean that at every new chapter there's this "note" in which Colin talks about something. He had that already written in his special Notebook, but in general this book is written in 3rd person. This really made the book stand out and give you details about how the outside world looked and it also gave the story a bit of dimension. I think that it couldn't've been written in a 1st person narration because everything might've seemed a bit strange and all over the place in Colin's mind to the outside world. Please don't hate me if I'm wrong. The plot is really well made and written and I really liked the occasional informative little notes at the bottom of the pages. It was really nice to see how this book goes and I really liked the pacing and the way the story went (I'm sorry if I'm being repetitive. I can't fathom my thoughts into constellations) .

In "A Study in Scarlet" Sherlock Holmes investigates a murder at Lauriston Gardens as Dr. Watson tags along with Holmes while narratively detailing his amazing deductive abilities.
I read this a few months ago just out of sheer curiosity, and, boy, wasn't it worth it!
Characters:
This book is BRILLIANT! I don't even know why I'm writing a review for the characters! BECAUSE I SHOULDN'T! John and Sherlock are both brilliant! There is no way I could write an acceptable review for this book! John is so brilliant and loyal! I love him! Sherlock is the brilliant young man that knows the answer to the question before you even ask it. He knew who was the killer from the beginning! Right after they went to the lone hotel to investigate the body who was the killer and how that happened. He's brilliant! That's why I love Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books! Some people say the don't reflect reality and they're simply fiction (my mum), but things written in these books are still used to solve murders these days! They still use the whipping of the body! I think!
Plot:
This book is narrated by Dr. John Watson who does a brilliant job at doing so! This book starts off with Dr. John Watson coming back from Afganistan and him looking for a cheap place to live. Then he meets with an old friend and that old friend makes his acquaintance to Sherlock Holmes, a brilliant young man, with the brain of the doctor, who chose to be the only consulting detective in the world. From there, it all went down. Not literally, nor figuratively. This is the moment in which Dr. John Watson becomes Sherlock Holmes "assistant". It's really a brilliant book because it makes your brain work and I think that's simply awesome! It makes you wonder HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN?! I cannot write anything about the plot without being repetitive. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a brilliant writer and he did a marvelous job with these books. In comparison with the BBC series, Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock seems a lot dumber than the Sherlock from this book. There are a slight few changes, so the episode can be more modern, but the series is very true to the book.

Stuff.
I rearranged my bookshelf this week and this happened:
And on the same day I did this (on Tuesday) I ordered Clockwork Angel and, with shipping included, it was half the original price! And I was like, why the fuck not?! I payed approximately 5 euros on it. And with it I got three other books for free! WUUT!
And yesterday I got a call from the delivery company saying THAT IT ARRIVED! So I went to pick it up!
And finally, when I opened the book, this happened:
IT WAS A NOTE! THAT MADE MY DAAY!
Also, I went today to see Pacific Rim with two of my friends, and then one of them gave me this for my birthday.
IT'S BEAUTIFUUUL! V3V I love it! Next year when I'll be leaving for university this will be sitting beautifully on my wall.
Well, then. I'm going to go read now.
Byee!

I can't do read-a-thons. No problem with fangirling, tho.
I am not even kidding. I cannot do read-a-thons. I can't cope with the fact that I am obligated to read so much in a day/week.
I know that if I'm a committed reader I should be able to read a lot of books in a month. But I can't. And why you ask? Let me explain from the beginning.
I finished Anna and the French Kiss two days ago.I thought that after I finished it I will have NO PROBLEM with reading anything else! But that wasn't the case. Because of the reading marathon, I rushed into finishing it and to be perfectly honest, I didn't want to do that in the beginning. I wanted to savour the book. I can't read a lot because I forget everything good about the book and that's what drove me into a reading slump. I ended up in this reading slump and I hate it and I want it to stop. I'm hoping to acquire some money on my birthday so I buy some books that will get me out of this stupid reading slump ._.
Anyways, this happened last night when I woke up because I couldn't sleep and I checked my gmail from my phone:
I couldn't fangirl at that very hour because my folks would've heard me and I would've woken up the whole street. Still. I took it all in this evening.
Well, Imma gonna leave you now.
Goodbye,
E.
P.S.: I told one of my guy friends the first time I talked to him that Divergent and Insurgent are amazing books and he bought them this week and I totally fangirled when he told me! I know him since the last autumn, I think. I can't wait to see what he thinks of it! He thinks it's really awesome and action packed and kewl until now! AAAWWEEYEEAH!

Reading Marathon: Day 2
Day two could've gone better. I didn't read as much as I should've. I know I can read more but I don't really like just sitting around and reading and if I don't do anything else I feel sickly.
Anyway, let's get right to the progress!
I also wento into a bit of a reading slump because I finished Anna and the French Kiss and now I want more and I don't have the second book, nor can I buy it ._. I will now try to proceed to Colin Fischer and hopefully finish it today.
Goodbye,
E.

Reading Marathon: Day 1
The first day went quite uneventful. I made french pancakes and pita's. They were good.
I made myself a french pancake with bananas and nutella (it wasn't nutella) and a hint of ice cream. It was really really good. It was taken from the marvellous book that I'm currentl reading: Anna and the French Kiss.
And now, because I'm participating in this reading marathon, I shall list my progress!
I read from Anna and the French Kiss. I didn't ACTUALLY had that much time to read because I had to wake up in the morning and cook something and then do some things around the house and later go to the store to buy some stuff and then come back home to make french pancakes and pita. Yup! Still, I will finish this book today and then start reading more from Colin Fischer and I can hopefully finish that tomorrow! AWWEEEYEEEAH!
Anyways, I have to go now :D
Goodbye,
E.
P.S.: I FOUND THE MOVIE FOR RUBY RED AND IMMA GONNA WATCH IT BECAUSE IT ALSO HAS ENGLISH SUBTITLES! (the original is in german) I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!!

Reading Marathon!
I just found out about this reading marathon organised by this Romanian blogger and I wanted to participate, because I can't participate in the booktube-a-thon because I have my birthday that week XD
So here it goes!
English:
This reading marathon will happen from Monday, 8th of July, to Sunday, 14th of July.
This reading marathon wants you to read as much as you can thus finishing the books you had on your bookshelves for a long time and didn't bother to read because other books happened!
At the end of the day, you can write a post with your progress:
Pages read total

It sounds really fun and I really really want to participate in one of these reading marathon and I just found mine. And now I'm really happy! Can't wait for it to start and I hope I can read a lot. Competitive bitch speaking!

Also, here's a list of books I want to read this week:
Colin Fischer by Ashley Edward Miller & Zack Stentz
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
They are mostly short books, and I hope I can read them because I hate sitting and reading in bed because if makes me feel sick and lazy. I will have to do other activities as well, like going with my bike or cooking, otherwise, I won't survive :\ I already started the first 2 books and I'm well into them and I can't WAIT to finish them all!
Hope you'll participate as well,
Love,
E.
01 July, 2013
I have issues. And reviews.
My birthday is in 2 weeks from Wednesday which is kewl. This is what I want for my birthday:
Also, an iPod. Like, seriously! I need an iPod! I don't want it so I could be a hipster of some sorts, I JUST NEED A MUSIC DISTRIBUTING DEVICE that isn't small and annoying and non-shuffle-y. Also, it makes for a pretty good e-reader.
I will not make a June wrap-up because I haven't read that much. I SAY LAZY! But I will totally say what I wanna do reading-related this month! I might or might not participate in the booktube-a-thon. My birthday is in that week, so I'm not so sure. I will finish One by Leigh Ann Kopans, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and Delirium by Lauren Oliver and also do some moar reading.
Also, I was thinking about my writing. I can't find any motivation and I'm too lazy to write and I hate it because I really wanna write and put my ideas on paper! But, of course, procrastination, you little bitch. Hope I can get a rough outline till the end of the week. (not gonna happen)
I also come here today with a review for you! The book which has the honour of being reviewed by me today is a book which I loved the first time I read it, wanted to throw it out the window the second time. (talk about extremes!) And that book is The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith.

Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.
A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?
Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.
I read this first in September, last year, and I just loved it! I read it in 3 days. I really loved it then! But now, I didn't. I couldn't even finish it! I was in a reading slup at the time and that might've been the reason but I started reading The Hobbit while still reading this and I really couldn't go on with reading it.
Now on to the reasons I didn't like it. Before starting this I read a post on Veronica Roth's blog saying that you shouldn't put too much of the character remembering stuff from the past because it might confuse the reader and get him annoyed. And that's mostly what happened to me. I didn't like that the remembering stuff was too much at times. I was also annoyed by the fact that I didn't feel that the reason for Hadley's parents divorce was good enough or that it didn't have a good lead up to it. And I was annoyed how much grudge Hadley was holding! I would too! But she pushed it a bit too far for me. I also hated the 3rd person narration! That narration should be banned for any YA novels! Seriously! It would've been a LOT better if the narration was at 1st person.
However, I loved Oliver! He's such a lovable character! I just adore him! I also thought that they weren't that good for each other. I don't remember quite why I thought this, but I just felt like they weren't that good for each other. They probably were but I was just annoyed with the mass of remembering or father issues.
Well, I hope you liked my review. It was really badly written because it's quite late here and I want to sleep.
Goodbye,
E.
