Top 10 books of 2012

First of all, I contacted the Doctor and he took me in 2013 and it was awesome! Really! Well, obviously, we had to save the world from some Daleks, but we did it! And now you'll all be safe!!!
Second of all, this tag is supposed to have 12 books but I only started reading books other than harry potter (yes, for one year and a half I read only harry potter. Problem much?) only in September, thing I'm ashamed of, and I also re read some of the books I will list and I also had some books I read that I didn't really enjoy and I'm sorry about that, so I'm just going to write about 10 books I read this year and really liked.
The books are listed in no particular order. I can't make an actual top 10 because it would be too hard. So here it goes.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

I think this is the best dystopian book I've ever read, along with it's sequel. It was LOVELY! The book is about a girl called Beatrice "Tris" Prior which lives in the dystopian future where the city is divided in 5 factions: Dauntless, Erudite, Candor, Amity, Abnegation. At the age of 16, everyone has to take an aptitude test that will say in which faction you you belong to. Tris lives in Abnegation, which is the faction of the selfless, but she doesn't feel like she belongs to them. When she takes the test, she finds out she's a Divergent (like the title says). When you read the first chapters, it will be quite obvious which faction she will choose. I'm just going to live it to that.

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

This is the sequel to Divergent, which I read really fast, and I must say. It was WAY better than the first book. The writing style is AMAZING! You can say that when everything seemed to calm down, that was only the calm before the storm. And the storm was like a hurricane. She is SUCH an incredible writer! I just LOVE her! She just knows how to make you be absorbed by the book! This book is full of cliffhangers! From cover to cover! Page to page! It's a marvelous book! It's beautiful! I don't have words to describe it's beautifulness! I'll just leave it to you!

If I stay by Gayle Foreman
This book was beautiful. I read it at my best friends' recommendation. After I finished Divergent and Insurgent I didn't know what to read so I picked this book from the public library! It was fantastic. It was beautifully written. I really loved it especially because she was a bit like me. I also play a classical musical instrument at school, but I'm not as passionate about it as she is. I play the viola which is pretty close with cello. It was a light read. It was lovely what Adam did for her. This book is about a girl called Mia which has an accident where her parents and younger brother die. But after the impact, she is unconscious, but still, she is there. Throughout the story she tells us the story of how she started playing the cello, about how her parents met, about how her brother happened and about how she met Adam. It's read worthy and I think it's a lovely book and I cannot wait to read the sequel (which I haven't yet because they don't have it at the public library!)

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Yes!! Finally! This is THE book of 2012! It is indeed the best book I read this year, if you also count Insurgent. I first encountered this beauty in a youtube comment where someone replied to another person saying "If you never cried at a book, then you should read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green". And I was like 'Yeah, sure! Why not?!" And I read it. It was beautiful! I fell in love with Augustus. He's so sweet, and kind, and smart! I have a friend that sometimes reminds me of him deeply! I don't think I have to say what this book is about because I spoke about it SO MANY TIMES! So I'm going to wait for you to read it. But first, I want to warn you: if you don't want to feel like someone gave you a kitty cat and you fell in love with it and then they took it and killed it, please do read this book.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephenie Perkins

Because of our dearest John Green, I found out about this book in one of his videos. I thought that I wouldn't like it because I hadn't read any romancy books before and I was like "what the heck!" because I tried reading it but I wasn't that attracted to the beginning of it. So I started reading another book, and after I finished it, I read this one. It's about a girl called Anna Oliphant (obviously) that is pursued by her father to go to boarding school in France. She tried to stop him from making her go. But nothing worked. So she had to move to France to study at SOAP aka School of America in Paris (or something like that) where she meets Étienne St. Clair, who is a handsome young lad which is American and English. It's a lovely book, even tho it has a love square (that's what I told my best friend) and a bit of cheesiness here and there, but I think it's pretty kewl because it was really funny and stuff! (I've just seen the most horrific thing ever. Harry Styles as Étienne. Horrible!)

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

I just HAD to read this after I finished the first book! And I must say, I liked this a lot more than the first! It's about a girl that thinks fashion is awesome and she dresses in a lot more different than everything you would see on the streets. She has two gay dads, a loving boyfriend and a willingness not to ever see the Bell twins again. But one day the inevitable happens and the Bell twins are back into town. Well, this book was lovely. It was HILARIOUS! And, dude, Cricket, he's so sweet and cute and funny and smart! I recommend this book to everyone that likes funny stuff and cute romantic stuff (it wasn't that cute. Nor romantic)

I read this before Anna and the French Kiss and this was also a recommendation from the lovely and awesome John Green and I thought that it will be a good future read. So I got the pdf file and read it on my cousins' mp4. This book is about a girl called Hadley Sullivan who has to go to his father's wedding in London right from the JFK airport in New York. She missed the plane she should've fly with, so she had to wait in the airport for a few hours where she fills the void of silence with a British boy called Oliver which also has to fly to London with the same plane as Hadleys'. I really liked this book. After I finished it, I wanted more. It was so beautiful. I'll have to do a reread of the last 3 books I talked about because, like Charlie, I have to read a book twice to really really understand it.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Because of my best friends awesome recommendations (I hope you are satisfied now), I also read these! I REALLY loved them! I am sure I don't have to say what are they about because EVERYONE knows about them!! They were so addictive (well, not as addictive as Divergent) and it was an easy read. I was scared that it was going to have a shit-load of detailing, like The Hobbit, but I was glad to see it didn't. The only thing I didn't like (like everybody else) is that the end of the last book was rushed! I'm not really sure why she did that, but I usually do that when I don't know what to write or when I'm out of time. I'm probably sure it was because she was out of time. That's what J.K. Rowling said about writing the 4th Harry Potter book.

After I watched the first Percy Jackson movie I wanted to read one of Rick Riordan's books, but I couldn't read the first book because they didn't have the public library and they only had this one. It was lovely! I think it was awesome, and I didn't have to know what happened in the second book to read this. I don't know if I should say what it's about because I might spoil the first two books. But I think that you will love it because it's Greek Mythology and dude, the Greek Mythology is GORGEOUS! I wanna read some books about that, but I'm too lazy to look for them. They're called The Legends of Olympus, but I don't think you can find them in English because I'm pretty sure it's written by a Romanian historian.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

I found out about this book from a top 100 YA books of all time (all of John Green's books are there! Except for Let it snow) and I really liked the plot so I just went to the public library and borrowed it. The story is about a boy, Clay Jerson, that gets some cassette tapes from no one, apparently, but he later finds out that they're from his late crush, Hannah Baker, who killed herself two weeks earlier. When I finished the book, I didn't want more from the book because I think he finished it beautifully and he didn't make the readers want to complain that it seemed unfinished. It was really awesome, and even though I think that Hannah shouldn't've killed herself and that she should've spoken with someone. And I also think that Clay was a pussy that he didn't go and talk to her more. It was a bummer.

I swear, next year I'm gonna do only 5 books! THIS WAS THE WORST THING EVER!
Anywhore, I hope you all have a great year and stay safe and don't get drunk and don't drive if you do.

Goodbye

Books you should read before you see the movie

Today I'm going to blabber about books you should read before you see the movie. I've either seen the movie and didn't read the book because I don't own it, either I've read the book but there's no movie YET.

Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
Trailer | Book
I haven't read the book yet because I don't own it yet, but this book is on my "to buy very very soon" list. I've seen the trailer and it's so awesome!! It's so cool! I love the idea of it. I'm not a zombie person, because I will never play again The Walking Dead (I played it once at my best friends' house. It was horrid) and because I really am not fond of them. But when I saw the trailer, I loved it! Because it's romance and comedy and everything else! It's brilliant!! And Nick Hould looks adorable as R! I think it's gonna be an awesome movie!!

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Trailer | Book
I read three quarters of the book, and I've seen the first movie and it was SPECTACULAR! Even tho they didn't keep the original story like, I think it was awesomely made! I haven't got enough adjectives for how good the movie was! I loved Gollum. After the movie I kept talking like him... I noticed that Martin Freeman wasn't the center piece of the movie, which was amusing. I'm really really looking forward for the next movie!! Cumberbatch! Here I COME!!!!

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Trailer | Book
Well, this doesn't have a trailer yet, but they say the movie will be done. I really hope they will. Because this movie deserves a movie so badly!! I cannot stop recommending this book! I read it three times! I adore it!! It's John Green at his finest!

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Trailer | Book
I read this book last month, and I fell in love with it! It's a lovely book! This movie will be here! They already have a Tris (even though I don't agree with their choice). She's called Shaileen Woodley. A lot of people think that Taissa Farmiga would've been a way better Tris. I don't have a Four yet, because I don't know how he'd look like. But I've got a Caleb :\ My best friend and I decided that Logan Lerman would be a good Caleb even tho he doesn't have dimples. Nor green eyes :\

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Trailer | Book
This one is obvious. The movie is quite close to the book. Or at least closer than others. I really liked it. I don't think that Josh Hutcherson is a good Peeta tho. He's not as tall as I imagined him (obviously) and I imagined him a lot thiner but muscular at the same time. Actually, I'm not sure how he looks like. But I'm sure its' not him. But I think Jennifer is very good, even tho it's not the perfect image of Katniss, but it's close, and very good! Anyway, read the books. They're amazing! Even if the last book seems to be rushed in to finishing, I really liked them.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan
Trailer | Book
I'm an arse. I bought the book a few weeks ago and I have it, but I didn't read it yet! I'm such an arse!! But on a happier note, I've seen the movie twice :\. I think the movie is cool and awesome and I love Logan Lerman! His eyes are SO BEAUTIFUL!! The only thing that bothered me (like it bothered everybody else) is that Annabeth isn't blonde! WHY?! WHY!! But I heard that Alexandra Daddario dyed her hair blonde.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Trailer | Book
Yes! This is a MUST! I saw the movie last week with my best friend and it was adorable! I loved it! (I already said Logan's eyes are pretty as hell) I haven't read the book because I don't own it, but I might get some money this week and I'm buying both The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Warm Bodies! I'm so happy!! Yay XD! I also have to state the obvious that Emma Watson's american accent is horrid.

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
Trailer | Book
I am an incredible arse! I bought this book together with A Casual Vacancy and I still haven't read it! But I've seen the trailer and I wanted to read this before seeing it because John Green kept blabbering about it. I'm going to read it as soon as possible! (well, as soon as I finish the first Percy Jackson book and the Witch, the Wardrobe and the Lion) In the distribution of the movie we have Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire

The Perfume by Patrick Suskind
Trailer | Book
Seen the movie! It's AMAZING! I don't usually like gory or horror movies, but this was AWESOME!! And I really want to read it. I begun reading it a few months ago, but I wasn't in the mood for reading it :\ But I liked it. Gonna read it once and for all! This movie also contains an Alan Rickman, Dustin Hoffman and a very sexy Jean-Baptiste Grenouille which is played by Ben Whishaw. Yes! It was worth it!

Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
Trailers | Books
It's stupid not to say that you should read the books before seeing the movies! I, for one, saw the movies before I read the books, but I wasn't disappointed :\ I really really loved them. I don't have anything to say about this, because it's quite obvious what you should do!

Anyway, this was my short list of books you should read before seeing the movie. I hope you enjoyed this, because I did. And I also hope I didn't bore you all to death :\.
Goodbye

Christmas and other stuff

Happy Christmas to you all! It's still Christmas Eve in here, but I don't care! I'll be busy tomorrow! SOme stuff happened these few weeks. School ended, I ordered Will Grayson, Will Grayson, I got Beyonce's perfume from my aunt, I learned two ed sheeran songs at my guitar and I got my Christmas present :D! I got a moisturizing cream and a deodorant both by Nivea from my dad (he's so inventive!) and a make-up mirror from my mum! She also bought for us a box that is also a music box with candy in it! It's so awesome! If we don't have any more candy for the new years eve, I'll make ginger bread and put it in there! I promise! I'm watching Love Actually on tv at the moment with my mum and it's a bit awkward seeing Martin Freeman naked and others... Also, my lest wrist hurts like hell for some reason from yesterday, and the day before that, I didn't do anything to force it to hurt like this!
Anywhore, I was watching some youtubers today, like Marcus Butler, Caspar Lee and Jack and Finn, and I've been thinking for a long time that I really want to start a youtube channel where I talk about funny stuff and sing and do challenges and book hauls... But I don't know how to start it and I can't do videos because I'm going to blind people with my unattractiveness X___x and because I'm still not comfortable in my skin even tho I'm going to live with me all my life (obviously) and because I need to lose a little weight. It's not like I'm fat or anything, but I'm not really comfortable with the way I look because I'm not skinny enough for my mum, for my family or for my friends. And it's really bothering me sometimes because I can't just lose it but I don't know how and I don't think I can do it and X____x Shit!
On a happier note, I'm going to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Caspian Prince (because I haven't seen it and because the supermegafoxyawesomehot Ben Barnes plays in it).
Until then, here are some Christmas photos I took these last weeks :D

This is how my cat sat two nights ago on my pc monitor...

This is our Christmas tree which looks a bit naked, but I like it :D

This is the thing we put on our front doors. My mum made it yesterday and I think it's gorgeous.

My best friend and I made some jam and cinnamon rolls two weeks ago and they were delicious!
Have a very happy Christmas and a happy new year!
Goodbye.

Divergent - a review

(I had to write this for school, so I wrote a review on Divergent because f m lovely best friend I couldn't write about The Fault in Our Stars)

Divergent is a book written by the American debut author, Veronica Roth, published in the year of 2011. The story is set in the dystopian future, which is the bad side of the future, characterized by mass poverty, squalor, suffering or oppression.
This book starts with the story of one Beatrice “Tris” Prior, that lives in one of the five factions, Abnegation. When she turns 16, she has to take an aptitude test which will determine in  which faction she belongs in. After that, she needs to choose from one of the five factions: Candor – the honest, Dauntless – the fearless, Abnegation – the selfless, Erudite – the intelligent and Amity – the peaceful. To her surprise, she finds out she’s a divergent, which is a dangerous thing and she is warned not to tell anybody, because it might cost her life. After she chooses the faction, she meets a boy named Four, which is also her mentor in her initiation.
The way Veronica Roth wrote the book is compelling and thought-provoking. Every time things calm down, usually that’s the calm before the storm. The dialogue doesn’t outcast the mass of information. It’s easy to imagine the characters or scenaries and it’s easy to get in the mood to read it because there are a lot of books that get you bored after two pages *cough*twilight*cough*.
I read this book a month ago and I don’t have much to say about this book except that this is one of the best books I’ve ever read in my life. It’s so compelling! It’s like you bathe in a lake and a Divergent-leech stuck on you! Every time I tried to put it down, I couldn’t. It made me gasp, and cry and laugh and want to hug the characters when something sad happened.
I would recommend this to anyone that wants another type of reading, if you like the Hunger Games or if you like breathtaking dystopian literature. It’s definitely worth buying and reading. There also is a second book called Insurgent which is even more exciting than the first and the third book is due to be released in the fall of 2013.

Secret Santa

Obviously, like everyone for a few years, we're doing the secret Santa thing at school! I've been lucky enough to pick a friend's name. Unfortunately, I know who's making me my present, but I'm happy with who is making me the present! It's awesome! Quoting John Green, "You don't choose if you get hurt in this world, but you do have a say in who hurts you." Ok, now I can crawl in a hole and cry...
Anyways, I went secret Santa shopping with my best friend and we went to this ginormous looking hypermarket which looks like it huge, but it's kinda small inside. So we went into this store in that huge mart called Jysk where you have decoration things like candles, pretty wrapping paper, blankets, huge pillows, stuffed animals, Christmas decorations and other awesome stuff and we saw some freaking awesome candles which were in Santa boots or Santa hats. And I bought a a candle in a Santa hat! This guy I'm giving the present to is very Christian and I'm an atheist which is quite awkward, but he has a sense of humor so he'll get it.
Anywhosies, whilst in this store I also bought a very awesome present bag with an awesome christmasy print on it with reindeers and it's like a Christmas sweater! IT'S SO AWESOME! And then we got out of that story and went into the big hypermarket and we saw The Hobbit book which I already own but it was with Martin Freeman on the cover and it was SHINNY! SOO PRETTEH! And then I bought a card which said "Some people give cards with money on Christmas. But I looked through all the cards but there were none with money..." which me and my best friend found funny and I bought it! And then I found some very cheap earphones and they're good! And then we entered the toy isle and we were in nerd heaven! I mean SERIOUSLY! There were LIGHTSABERS! HOLY SHIT! And Thor's mask which is this one and WE SAW MINI TOM HIDDLESTONS and the other guys from the Avengers, and we both put on Thor's mask and Captain America's mask and Spider-Man's mask and IT WAS SO AWESOME! We literally stood there for like 5 minutes looking at those toys! They were AWESOME! And then she bought some awesome stuff for the guy she needs to give the present to. She probably will hate me if I write here what she bought. And then, I came across the best present for him EVER! I found reindeer antlers! With annoying little bells that ring everytime you move! They're BRILLIANT! And then we went out of the shop. That's kinda all I bought him and I'm also giving him a small notebook thingie cuz he said he needed one once and as always, chocolate.
We also went to a craft store cuz we needed some stuff and I bought some material to make two plushies. Here they are!
Meet Irwin and Bluei. Bluei is the little bear Hazel has in The Fault in Our Stars. That's what I'm giving my best friend for Christmas cuz we love TFIOS.

Also, a few days ago I received some money and I skipped my last class and went to a book shop and I bought two books!

It's (obviously) "The Casual Vacancy" by J.K. Rowling and F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby which I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT!! I should get my copy of Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief in a couple of weeks and I'm gonna order Will Grayson Will Grayson on Monday or tomorrow and I need to get used to the fact that I'm gonna own two John Green books which is SO FUCKING EXCITING!
Okay, I'm leaving now because I'm tired and I have to sleep.

Goodbye!

02 December, 2012

I love winter tag!

So I turned on my pc today and as always I logged on youtube to see if anyone posted anything special or interesting. And I stumbled upon this!

I don't always watch his vlogs because probably they're too long but it's winter, so I had to watch this! And obviously, I had to take this tag as well! So here I go!

Do you like the cold?

I love cold! It's kinda weird I love it but I'm a summer kid and I don't like summer cuz it's way to hot! So I like winter because if you are cold and you put some clothes on you get the coziest feeling EVER!!

Favourite part about winter?

Christmas! Duuh!

Favourite winter drink?

We don't really make special drinks in the winter besides tea or boiled wine. I don't drink alcohol because I don't really like it, but boiled wine with cinnamon is the best thing ever!!

Do you do any outdoor activities in the winter?

I don't really :\ Used to when I was really small but, meh...

Favourite winter scent?

Apple stew with cinnamon and cloves. BEST.THING.EVER!

Does it snow where you live?

It does! Right now, it doesn't, but they say that it'll snow next week. I hope they were right!

Favourite clothing item in the winter?

I bought this on ebay and I don't really have a picture of mine, only the one on ebay.

It's the best thing I've ever bought! It keeps you very warm because it's a thick hat and it also has gloves which is brilliant.

Your favourite winter memory?

When I was really really small, my brother and some of his friends built a huge fort in my aunt's yard. It was so awesome!  We even had a toiled and a few rooms! I'm not sure if this was a dream or not, but I believe it wasn't.

That was it. I hope you enjoyed it and I'm sorry for the two post in 24 hours :\ But I really wanted to do this!

Goodbye.

M

Lust and tea

I finished Percy Jackson last night and I thought I might not miss it. Emm... the awkward part is that I wanna read more. And the more awkward part is that I can't read the other books. BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE IT AT THE FREAKING PUBLIC LIBRARY!! AND THEY'RE EXPENSIVE! Actually they're not but I don't have money right now. Meh.
My Hunger Games series is still at my cousins' and I really needed it today... because it's been a long time since I had them. I did receive The Fault in Our Stars back XD Kinda happy I did tho.
Also! I have an assignment for my English class due in a week from Monday to write a review on a book or movie I really like or dislike. At first I wanted to write about The Fault in Our Stars, but my best friend also wanted to write about it and I didn't want to give up on writing about TFiOS, but then I looked Insurgent up on a romanian book store and my chest filled with pride because it was there! And I realized how much I missed Divergent and Insurgent! I miss it like hell! And we're doing this not-so-secret santa thing with our classmates and a friend has to buy me a present! And I told him that "please, please, pretty pretty, please" buy Divergent because he asked me what to buy. And I have to make a present to another friend and I don't know what to get him! Shit!

Anywhosies! I have to go now. It's kinda late and I have to try and put some christmas lights on my inside window sill.

Goodbye.

M

(P.S.: I believe I just waster a very good post...)

28 November, 2012

November wrap up and December to-be-read

First of all, here's the video from where I got the idea of posting today!

So this month I read a few books. More than usual, probably. Here they are!

I don't really remember when I finished it but it was definitely this month. I started it in mid October but I got kinda bored by it :\ I don't really know why. It was an awesome book. I liked it but I couldn't sit to read it a long time. I read it on my phone and that was sucky as well.  I'll give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Divergent by Veronica Roth

I did say about this book a few weeks ago. I also started this mid October but the beginning of the book was boring. But then I finished An Abundance of Katherines (I think) and I didn't know what to read
and I continued it and I got captivated in it! I'll give it 5 stars out of 5!

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

I finished it in 3 days! It was my first book with over 500 pages in three days! I was SO absorbed by it! I really REALLY liked it! She was so evil when so wrote it! She knew how to write so you get absorbed very easily by it! My rating is 5 out of 5 stars!

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

I read about this book in the list of 100 best books for teens. And I loved it! I had the same feeling I had while reading Divergent which is that I need to keep reading. But at the end I didn't have the craving feeling that I had with Divergent. I was satisfied with the ending. I'm happy he didn't write it so people would want more out of it. I would want something more but not desperately like I wanted for The Hunger Games and Divergent. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

I am currently reading this and I only have like 100 pages left so I'm finishing it by Friday. So far, I love this book! I watched the movie last week and it was awesome! I can't read the first book yet because they didn't have it at our public library. The third book was the only one they had :\ But I ordered the first book from bookdepository.com. Until now, this gets a 5 out of 5 stars! I love it!

This December I have the end of the first semester of school and the first two weeks will be filled with tests and listenings and stuff and after that I'll be free to read whatever I want!! Because from the 21st I'll have the Christmas break which will last until the 13th of January (yaay) and I'll have plenty of time for reading!

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

I started reading this book before reading Thirteen Reasons Why but I had the feeling that I couldn't read it yet. But I really want to read it because it was recommended by John Green and I'd love to read it!

Christmas Carols by Charles Dickens

My mum bought this book last week and I want to read it because it's the Christmas season!

The Perfume by Patrick Suskind

I also started this in October but I couldn't read it so I said I'll read it in the Christmas break because I'll have a shitload of time!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

I've seen the movie and I LOVED IT! And I ordered it and I'd love to read it.

The Hobbit by J.R.R Tokien

I begun reading this in May I think and I couldn't finish it X_x It's not a read that you can go through in one go because it's so full of details! I only have like less than half of it to read and I have to read it before the 14th of December cuz I'M GOING TO PREMIERE OF THE MOVIEE!!!

The Queen and I by Sue Townsend

I was at the public library today and I was casually crawling between the shelves and I saw it! And the temptation of pulling it out and to read the description of it was ginormous. And I took it and it was love at first sight! Well not really.

If I stay by Gayle Forman

My best friend kept telling me about this book because she read it and loved it. So I'm gonna read it...

Those were probably all the books I want to read but probably if I see other books at the library, I'm gonna read them. Also, I might read The Fault in our Stars and The Hunger Games again if I get them back XD

I'm leaving now.

Goodbye.

I have nothing to say.

Hi there! I wanted to write a review on Divergent and Insurgent but I couldn't. Not just yet.
Right now I'm reading 13 reasons by Jay Asher. It's a lovely book. I'm 190 book through. I weirdly like it. My best friend said it sounds like a cheesy book and about bullying. And it is, indeed, a bit about bullying and it also is about other things. It's weird. It's about a girl that commits suicide and she sends a box containing 7 tapes to people who were the reason of her suicide. And one of them is a boy called Clay Jensen. He has no idea why he is guilty of her death, but he still listens to the tapes to see why she was forced to kill herself. It got a bit sad now. It's because I've been bullied all my life probably. Bullying doesn't affect me like it used to anymore. I never actually thought of killing myself. I did think of suicide, but never to do it. It's pointless.
Anyways! I had a strange dream last night. I won't say what it was (no, it was not a "wet dream"), but I will say that it involved a kiss. And I thought that it's weird. I never kissed anyone. Well, except for my mum when I was very small, but that certainly doesn't count. But it's strange. Probably only a quarter of the people in my class never kissed anyone. It's kinda funny. But I've always been self-conscious about it and I think that my first kiss would be very awkward. Because that's how they usually are. I think. Strange. This world.
I have to go now because it's late (it's not that late, really) and I have to wake up early in the morning.

Goodbye.

Books, books and more books!

I always wanted to show people my little personal book shelf. So here it is!

But first, here's a photo of some awesome envelopes I bought last week! :D

Here's the overview:

I don't have 4 books here cuz I borrowed them to my cousin.

And as always, I'll begin with the J.K. Rowling books!

From top to bottom, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien and the first two Lord of the Rings books!

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.

First three books from the Chronicles of Spiderwick.

This is one of my most prized possessions! The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

These are my Japan related books. From top to bottom: Conversation guide, Traveler's guide thingie, Japanese Tales and Legends, Complete guide - Japan, Japanese textbook.

From left to right, Illustrated Chronicles of the Human kind, One Thousand and One Nights, Batman comic, Life in Top by John Braine, James Bond - Casino Royale by Ian Fleming. Got the last two for my birthday this year.

I hope you liked my little book collection :D I will write a small review on both Divergent and Insurgent these following days. I must add, because my best friend won't shut up about it, that a gal named Paula (the best friend) told me about Divergent and it's because of her that I read it. I hope you're satisfied now.

Goodbye,

So I finished Divergent by Veronica Roth this morning and this afternoon, I downloaded Insurgent to read on my computer. And I started reading, of course. And when I got to chapter 7, this is what I felt and kinda looked like:

A hypothesis and books.

Good evening my dear gals and lads! So I came with a kind of an awesome hypothesis. It's between the Romanian language and the English language. It's like Romanian in my head has a square shape with rounded corners and English is round. And some other languages have shapes in my head as well. Korean, for example is like a cloud shape, and Japanese is square. And another thing was that why can't Romanian people have English or American accents. It's because English and American people talk with all their mouth, with their tongue and their throat. But Romanian is talked only with their from teeth and the tip of their tongue and it's harder for them to talk in English because they don't know how to use their whole mouth. And whilst thinking about this, I came out with a funny thing. I figured out that if English people use their tongues better than Romanian people, it means their better kissers. I hope I'm right XD

By the way, I made a list of books that I want to read until the end of 2013. This is my supermegafoxyawesomehot list! I do hope you like it.t of

And in the spirit of Halloween, this is a song that I really like.

The October Club

So here I am again. I'm trying to write something on this new blogger layout which I despise already.
So in the weeks I haven't written, I've read 6 books. It's really not much, but I read one twice. I've read The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, The Mocking Jay, The Fault in Our Stars (twice), The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and Anna and the French Kiss. So here's my mini reviews:
The Hunger Games (6 days):
I loved this book SO FREAKIN' MUCH! I love how she wrote it. I couldn't stop reading it! Everytime I wanted to stop reading, I couldn't put it down! I love how she didn't focus on the dialog so much. I wanted to just hug Peeta when Katniss told him that it was just a masquerade.
Catching Fire (5 days):
This book is a very very good book! I enjoyed every little bit of it! I was very shocked in many places. I liked Finnick! I love him!! I'm very happy that Peeta and Katniss sorted up things.
Mocking Jay (5 days):
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I cried when Buttercup came back at the end of the book. I was shocked when Finnick died! I love Finnick! I was also shocked when I found out that Cinna died because I love him so so much! I'm really sorry that Prim died. I didn't like how Gale didn't care about killing other people. I hated that...
The Fault in Our Stars (3 days):
This is my favourite book! I cried SO FREAKIN' MUCH! I love Hazel and Augustus! I fell in love with him. John Green is a brilliant writer! I want to write Will Grayson, Will Grayson and An Abundance of Katherines. It's the best blend of intelligence and wit and romance and drama!
The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight (3 days):
I found out about this book from John Green. I really liked this book. I cried at the end because it ended... But I really liked it :D
Anna and the French Kiss (3 days):
THIS BOOK IS SO AWESOME! I love it! I began reading it again because it's just so awesome! I love how she wrote it! OMG!! I don't really know how to describe the awesomeness of it, but it's brilliant!

So here's what The October Club is!

It's a project that Carrie Hope Fletcher came up with as a youtube book club. And she called it The October Club. This project consists in reading 4 books in 4 weeks! This is the actual video where she speaks about it:

And because I really want to do this, I challenge myself too! And the books I really really wanna read in the next 4 weeks are:

So the first book I'd love to read is The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling because it's her first book after Harry Potter and I suppose it should be very nice if I read it.

This is Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins, the writer of Anna and the French Kiss. I wanna read it because I do believe it's a very good book :D

John Green's An Abundance of Katherines. I wanted to read another book by John Green, but I didn't want to read Looking For Alaska, because EVERYONE read it! And I do hope that I can read it.

Well, the forth book, that will be hard. I don't know what book to choose! These are the runner-ups!

The Perfume by Patrick Süskind
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan

I can't choose between these last 3. But if I finish the first 3 books earlier, I'll read them all! That would be delighting!

Now I have to go... I have to wake up at 7 in the morning and it quite sucks... So goodbye!

01 September, 2012

Yaay!

Hiii! :D It's been a long time since I wrote something in here and I'm sorry... Been busy... Doing absolutely nothing. Since I wrote here last time, I read a bit of Sherlock Holmes which I adored, I read a bit of The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel - The Sorcerer until I got a bit bored of it. And Then I read the first chapter of 50 shades of grey. I must say, it didn't look that bad until she started having orgasms over Christian Grey. It is pretty dumb and childish and you can see from a mile that it was written as a fan-fic.
Two days ago I went at my best friends house and she convinced me, finally, to read The Hunger Games and I adore it! Which is shocking! Because I don't really like books that easily :\
Today I got my old keyboard back! I missed it SOO much! :D The last one was white and noisy. This one is black and silent :3
And I said last time that I would write down a bit of my story but I didn't >_< Buuut! I have another awesome idea for another! It's about memories. Probably about dreams too. It's about how some idiots steal people's memories and the people or things in that memory disappear for them and they give them a drug and control their dreams. I think the last one won't go in because that thing kinda happens in Divergent (my best friend told me). I hope I can succeed with this. I need to make a plot first tho XD
I also have a celebrity crush on Tom Hiddleston that I got not long ago :3 And I really love this song lately! It's not really my type but I really like it so :D

Now I have to go. I really have to google how to make a plot. I really suck at this things...

Goodbye!

The Olympic Games opening ceremony

I must say, I FREAKIN' LOVED THE OPENING CEREMONY!! I mean, seriously! It was EPIC! Really! Mr. Bean, aka. Rowan Atkinson appeared playing piano which was VERY awesome! While queen was playing that part with
'So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die."
THERE WAS A TARDIS SOUND! OMG I DIED when I heard it! There was Peter Pan and Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! And most of all, a GIANT Voldemort and the queen herself, J.K. Rowling!! I started crying everytime I saw here and I was very very proud of her! I can imagine that in 50 years, if the Olympics will be in London again, some other future British writer will read a paragraph from Harry Potter. I adored it! I haven't seen any of the other Olympic opening ceremonies but I must say that this is my favourite and will forever be my favourite! Here's a picture of the Queen herself and the giant Voldemort.

So I decided that I'll start writing more because I got motivated. I had a story going on and stuff and I want to also illustrate it and I'll try and ask a friend if she can help me with that. And I really want to write a letter for J.K. Rowling for her birthday and send a letter to Danisnotonfire from youtube if you know him. He's brilliant and very funny and cute and lefty! So go check him out!

I shall be leaving you because I have to start writing! Goodbye!

Potato Casserolle

This is a recipe I know from my grandmother. I wanted to pass it to you because it's soo good and it's very easy.

So here's what you will need:
4 potatoes
2 eggs
Spices of choice (salt, pepper, paprika, etc)

Firstly, you should wash the potatoes so they're soil free. Then, fill a tall pan with water, season if with salt and place the potatoes in and let to boil for 10-15 minutes or until soft when punctured with a fork or knife. After you get them out of the pan, peel them and cut them in half of cm slices and place them in a porcelain casserole in rows. After placing them in the casserole, beat the eggs, season them and pour them over the potatoes. Sprinkle a bit of salt, pepper and paprika over the potatoes and place them in a preheated oven at 180° C. Take the casserole out after there's a crust formed on top and it got a golden rusted colour. I hope you enjoyed this recipe and find it as delicious as I do :D

Kind new people!

Hiiiduuuur dear new people! This shall be the place I will let my imagination flow and my nerves to floss.

First of all I must write about my post close-mindness.

This quite tells everything about how I was when I was smaller. I always thought I was stupid and I never knew how actually smart I was! I kept my parachute closed and only a year ago opened it and saw the real me! I always was the one who wanted to do more but did only less. I always thought that less is better. I always thought I could do nothing big like going to med school which I want to do now even tho I'm very scared. I always loved learning something new but I never knew my powers! I never knew I could memorise so fast, or that I had an awesome power of will if I defeat my procrastinating self. I always thought I was a Hufflepuff for some reason. My brother is tho. I am a proud Ravenclaw! I am a loyal friend but I might be an arrogant clever bitch.

Second of all, I finished watching Sherlock a few days ago and I must say that I'm amazed but the epicosity of it! I just love it!! It's so dim witted! and so damn awesome that I feel like everything else I watch is just boring! I got used soo fast to Sherlock fast thinking that even the Doctor seems slow! It's really funny!

And to finish this post, I shall be leaving you with this song which I hope I can memorise as soon as possible.
